Black swallowtail butterflies, caterpillars and chrysalis

The butterfly season is here. We have 17 caterpillars and chrysalis on our fennel plant today.

This is Kiwi, one of 3 Macaws living at South Beach marina in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
They like to sing and talk to visitors, so check them out.

King's Creek Inn at Cape Charles, Virginia

                             Stroll around the grounds, feel like you went back in time.

The lower level serves as a small, intimate restaurant for dinners and breakfast. On the other side is a bar with pool table, dartboard, and great company.

              The 3 level stairway from the entry foyer to the bedrooms on the second and third floors.

   You can tour the many wildlife sanctuaries in the area, or go into the town of Cape Charles, or just hang         out and appreciate the water and wildlife right in the backyard.

                                                         Oh, and did I mention the sunsets?

Horseshoe Farm Park in Raleigh

Horseshoe Farm is located in Northeast Raleigh, and is unique. Even though it is officially a city of Raleigh park, it has never been developed, and is in it's pristine state of a beautiful, but abandoned farm.
Great place to walk or take pictures or contemplate the meaning of life.
