Fort Frederica at St. Simon's Island in Georgia

The ruins at Fort Frederica on St. Simon's Island in Georgia are from a colonial era fort that played a significant role in the Civil War, as well as a point of defense from Spanish attacks.
This is a great National park site, you should visit if you can.

The trees are covered with spanish moss unlike anywhere I have ever seen. It's amazing!

Walking down this "street" is like taking a walk back in time.

North Carolina Aquarium

The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher in North Carolina has really great exhibits and displays. They did a nice job for Halloween, with haunted exhibits and decorations.
The jellyfish always fascinate me the most.

Blue Flower

OK, so this flower is really more purple, but I like it better in blue. I don't know it's name, so if anyone can help ID it for me, I would appreciate it!
See more of my flowers on my website at: http://robertjphotography.zenfolio.com/
Thanks for looking.

Kkkitty Cat

Sometimes it's just fun to take everyday objects ( like my kitty Jasper sleeping ) and do some wierd stuff!
Like setting f32 at 6 seconds, and then moving the focal length around a bit. See more of my photos ( and the real kitty Jasper ) on my website at: http://robertjphotography.zenfolio.com/

Sedum Everlasting

The Sedum are beautiful this year. It's nice to have some blooming plants in September when many other flowers are already gone for the season. I always feel that Autumn has arrived when they are in full bloom.

Harvest Pumpkins

Autumn again in North Carolina, always a good time to go visiting the farms in rural Wake county.
I found the afternoon light just right to get this shot.

Blue Ridge Parkway

Driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina or Virginia, there is a multitude of overlooks. This particular one was more interesting than most because the wall has become a palette for local artists.
